Burdensome are an independent four-piece from Hertfordshire, welding death and melodic metal to thrash and prog.

Since their first show in April 2022, Burdensome have played everything in reach — dingy clubs, established venues, record stores and open skateparks — clawing out a loyal following across Hertfordshire and London.

Their self-released debut EP Hell is Dark, led by the singles Damaged Deliverance and Grief Leech, lands gruesome and exhilarating: the Chuck Schuldiner school of metal with glimpses of Carcass, early Opeth, Gojira and Blood Red Throne.
